Complete the three challenges below:

Day 1: What makes our classroom STEM?
Objective: TSW evaluate STEM Bio and suggest improvements using data and STEM concepts. Do Now: Read this article and this article then respond to/finish this statement IYB: I have evidence that I am learning STEM Biology versus traditional Biology. The evidence includes..... |
STEM positions1. Read the list of STEM positions and discuss each role in detail with your team.
2. On your own IYB, rate the positions from strongest to weakest and provide an explanation for maintenance, sharing with others, or improving beside every position. Ex: If I ranked Database Engineer weakest my explanation may pertain to researching ways to display data and watching a youtube video on data analysis in excel in order to improve my skills. If I ranked Software Engineer strongest, I may suggest making a video tutorial to share with my team so my teammates can improve their CAD skills. 3. Work with your team to determine how everyone will manage one position as well as work as a team. How will progression and reliability be tracked during labs and projects? |
EDPIn order to 3D print, you must learn about an Engineering Design Process and FDM Technology
Read FDM and with your team make a padlet page displaying the benefits, applications, and materials involved. |
CAD1.Read this article and this article and discuss the impact you can make by CAD designing.
2. Set up an account with TinkerCad 3. Complete all TinkerCad tutorials. Check out this blog for shortcuts :) 4. Design an object that pertains to any concept you have learned in Bio class. 5. Save your prototype on a flash drive if you would like it printed. |
